Born From Life's Biggest Questions
Paralel Me began at a crossroads – quite literally. In 2019, our co-founders Alex and Maya found themselves sitting in a café in San Francisco, both facing major life decisions that would reshape their futures.
Alex had just received a prestigious job offer that would require moving across the country, away from his community and family. Maya was contemplating leaving her stable corporate career to pursue her passion project. As they shared their dilemmas, the conversation inevitably turned to those universal questions we all face:
"What if I choose the other path? How would my life unfold differently? How can I know which choice aligns best with who I truly am?"
That evening, they sketched out a crude timeline of Alex's career on the back of a napkin, mapping different decision points and imagining alternative outcomes. They realized how powerful it was to visualize these possibilities – and how this approach brought clarity that endless internal debating never could.
What began as a personal exercise became a powerful framework. They built an initial tool for themselves, then shared it with friends facing similar crossroads. The response was overwhelming: people found profound insights not just for future decisions, but in understanding patterns from their past choices.
The Turning Point
In 2021, after two years of refinement and expanding the tool to incorporate AI-driven insights, Paralel Me was officially founded with seed funding from investors who believed in our vision: that exploring our alternative lives leads to more authentic, intentional choices.
